This young athlete maintains impressive social media audience
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known supporters when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns several golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially suggested to compete and relax," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments recently and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can get advice from golf legend, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the best player worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He advised me to go out there, have fun, adapting to the flow."
She'll challenge multiple top competitors in professional golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to different demographics, especially reaching younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
